The purpose of the Tribunal is to hear and decide appeals against decisions made by the Home Office in matters of asylum, immigration and nationality.
Formerly known as the Asylum Support Adjudicators, the Asylum Support Tribunal (AST) was set up to consider appeals from decisions made by the Border and Immigration Agency.
The Immigration Services Tribunal hears appeals against decisions made by the office of the Immigration Services Commissioner and considers disciplinary charges brought against immigration advisors.
Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) ![]()
The Commission deals with appeals against decisions made by the Home Office to deport or to exclude someone from the UK on national security grounds or for other public interest reasons, and also hears appeals against decisions to deprive persons of citizenship status.
